Just a word of warning guys – I bought a Numark CDMix 2 in October and have had nothinbut grief with it. Wouldnt play discs or jumped constantly or just froze. Took it back to the store and was told Numark was aware of a “Bad Batch” of cd drives in some of their equipment – is it just me who hasn’t heard about this “bad batch” or have they been deliberately keeping it quiet????

I have just sent my new Numark CDN35 back to DJKit whcih cost me £20 as my unit kept freezing and the only wat to resolve the problem was by having to turn the whole unit off, as you can imagine this is very frustrating during a disco!!

Hello SoundTec ( Sorry dont know your real name)Basically I had returned two brand new Citronic CD players back to DJKit from which I purchased them as they were both faulty. After my second return I decide I would upgrade a bit more to the Numark, this was also a faulty cd player.I have asked for a refund but DJKit has informed me that I have to wait for it to be looked at by Numark before they can decide if I get one or not.
Ill let you know what happens.

CRAZY K ROADSHOW
Frankie and Soundtec–I would speak to your local trading standards office immediately.I believe under current legislation you should have immediate replacement or your money back–
you didnt buy this product from Numark–you bought it from the DJ shop–its their responsibility.Dont wait while the technicians try and work out the problem–for your information on a different matter they tried that on me with computers once–said it was outside the warranty period–for your information thats rubbish as well–apparently if goods dont last as long as they should allowing for condition, wear and tear etc then they have to replace it because its not fit for intended purpose. My first unit went after 9 months, the second new replacement after another 6 months and the dealer had the cheek to say my original 12 month warrany had run out!Trading Standards soon squashed that load of rubbish!I suggest you check this out and let us know what happens.CRAZY K

Groove Spin – Get The Party Started!
As I mentioned in another post about eBay, this behaviour is common amongst DJ equipment shops. For some reason, they believe that the Sale Of Goods Act doesn’t apply to them…

I have looked into it with trading standards and on their advice I asked for a refund but they told me they would repair or replace only so I have now issued a letter stating my claim over “faulty goods” and they now have 14 days to repond before trading standards take up the case. I eve offered them the chance to reduce the refund as I had the player for a few months but I want at least a 90% refund and they wont do it. So i’ll see what happens and keep you all posted – Its a real pity because when it worked it was a great piece of kit, compact and with some great effects but UNRELIABLE and thats a Major Problem as you guys no – whats a good DJ without reliable equipment – NOT A GOOD DJ!!! He he – I’ll let you know what happens……. Baz
